Microsoft's newest hardware is the Xbox Series X mini refrigerator, which started selling at Target and other retailers around the world this morning. This $100 meme product sold out quickly, was bombarded by reviews, and appeared on auction sites at a high price.

I started ordering the mini fridge this morning and it sold out almost immediately. The people who got the refrigerator (holding 12 cans) celebrated their achievements on social media. Many people are not so lucky.

Xbox marketing director Aaron Greenberg has been the main contact for all questions and concerns about the mini refrigerator. He said that the product is not a limited edition and there will be more stock in early 2022. This is not surprising, because Greenberg warned people in advance that this would happen. It seems that even if it is not Xbox Series X, it looks just as good. Well, there is also the Xbox accessory kit for American girls.

If you have not purchased the X-series mini refrigerator online, the good news is that most units will be available in Target stores instead of online purchases. Therefore, your best option may be to go to the store instead of continuing to hit the refresh button on the retailer’s website. Microsoft said that mini-refrigerators should begin to appear in stores in December this year. Greenberg continued to say that Microsoft will continue to produce more products to meet demand, and over time, it will launch mini-refrigerators in more markets around the world.

Scalpers have already taken advantage of the initial sales opportunity because eBay is flooded with lists of X-series mini-refrigerators, starting at $300-a lot higher than the manufacturer's suggested retail price. This is the standard procedure for any product in need; due to the continued shortage of these devices, the same thing has happened to Series X and PS5 consoles.

On Target’s website, the X-series mini-refrigerators have been slammed by critics—that is, those who don’t have a refrigerator yet but are writing reviews anyway. The overall review score for this product is negative. Presumably, some of the low review scores are due to people's frustration about not being able to get orders in time. So far, no one who actually owns a refrigerator has made professional or fan reviews of the refrigerator.

When the Xbox Series X design debuted in December 2019, people immediately pointed out that the system looked like a refrigerator. Microsoft leans towards memes, but it wasn't until the social media competition really heated up. Microsoft promises that if it beats Skittles in the Twitter brand competition, it will actually produce mini-refrigerators, and the company has been following up. As a gesture of goodwill, Microsoft stated that it would take the first Xbox mini refrigerator off the production line to Skittles.

The Xbox mini refrigerator has a cooler with a capacity of 10 liters and can be used in homes or cars. It can hold 12 cans, and there are two shelves on the inner door for storing other items. It also has two removable internal shelves, and the top of the device has the Xbox logo and vents, and its design looks like the Series X itself. The refrigerator can cool items to 36 degrees Fahrenheit.

Microsoft also created a standard-size Xbox refrigerator, but instead of mass producing them, it chose to send them to influential people like Snoop Dogg to promote Xbox.

All these mini-refrigerator craziness subsided on the same day Microsoft announced the Xbox 20th Anniversary live event on November 15. There will be no new game releases, but the showcase will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Xbox and the remarkable achievements of the past two decades. In addition, Microsoft also announced the annual game version of the Microsoft Flight Simulator.
