As Xbox celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, new behind-the-scenes stories about the console continue to emerge. Another news was announced on Monday. Xbox creator Seamus Blackley revealed that the Blink 182 band encouraged him to drink a full bottle of champagne on stage during the Xbox event many years ago.

In another tweet, Blakely said he was lucky that the event was held in Hollywood in May 2001, before the rise of social media, everything was recorded. Blakely also shared that after he introduced the band, the members of Blink 182 encouraged him "in a friendly way."

This happened at a party at E3 that year. After others posted about the party and how attendees obtained metal tickets to participate in the "iParty", Blakely shared his story.

Yes, it is @blink182, yes, they "encourage" me in a friendly way. https://t.co/HeIUJhTyGG

The original Xbox was released on November 15, 2001, so its 20th anniversary is approaching. Microsoft commemorates this moment with an anniversary-themed live broadcast and the release of a variety of products. To celebrate Halo, this year is also the 20th anniversary, Microsoft will release Halo Infinite brand customized Xbox Series X, as well as translucent Xbox controllers and special edition headsets.

Microsoft said that the Xbox 20th Anniversary Live will not have any new game announcements, but this event will be a "special review of Xbox 20 years."

In addition to the anniversary, Microsoft this year launched a new hardware-mini refrigerator. The Xbox mini refrigerator was launched this year at a price of $100, and it broke the joke that the X series looked like a refrigerator. Pre-orders start on October 19th.

Blakely is now the CEO of Pacific Light & Hologram, a "stealth mode technology startup."
