It's good when it lasts. By the next day, Thursday’s above-average temperature had become a distant memory because Friday brought gusts and cool temperatures to the Hudson Valley. It looks like the temperature will be close to average for the coming weekend, but forecasters are watching the storms that might occur next week. Will it snow before Thanksgiving? Some weather models seem to diverge in the path of the storm.

Friday's high will be in your 40s, and occasional gusts can sometimes bring chills in your 30s. It will be completely cold overnight, with the lowest point in the 20s. Saturday will see a mix of the sun and clouds and high points of the 1940s. The low on Saturday night should stay at the low in the 30s. Sunday will see a chance for the next precipitation to be late, because the high point will be more than 40 degrees, and it may rain late. Showers are expected to last overnight, as the low point will remain in the mid-1940s.

Some meteorologists say that it may rain in the northeast as the next front passes through the area early this week. Monday will also be slightly warmer, because the rain will eventually subside later in the day. The highest point will be over 50 degrees, but it will get colder in the late afternoon. There may be some light snowfall, but the most likely place to snow is the northern region. The low will drop to around 30 overnight.

Wednesday will bring some warm-ups, mid-50s highs and cloudy skies. As the temperature climbs into the 1960s, the chance of rain will return on Thursday. The best chance of rain is in the afternoon, because another front passes through and brings colder air again. Friday will end the week like it started, with cloudy skies and highs in their 40s and lows in their 20s. The forecast extended to the weekend calls for highs in the 40s to 50s, and the mix of the sun and clouds.
