Microsoft's Xbox-themed mini refrigerator will start retail in December last year. Reservations will start next Tuesday, October 19.

The Xbox Series X mini refrigerator is exactly what the name suggests: a small refrigerator similar in appearance to the Xbox Series X, can hold 10 cans of 12 ounces of soda water, and is equipped with two snack racks mounted on the door. There is also a USB port on the front of the mini refrigerator, which can be used to charge the device.

According to Xbox Marketing General Manager Aaron Greenberg, the Xbox refrigerator measures 18" x 9" x 9" (462mm x 232mm x 232mm), and the internal compartment is 13.8" x 6.8" x 6.8" (352.3mm x 174mm x 175mm) . Greenberg promises that refrigerators are compatible with AC and DC power supplies.

Originally announced after the Microsoft E3 game show in June, the Xbox Mini Fridge was basically what happened when Microsoft decided to make a joke, and it can also be effectively blamed on Twitter.

In October 2020, with the release of Xbox Series X warm-up, Microsoft produced a full-size X-series style refrigerator and gave it as a birthday gift to rapper and game enthusiast Snoop Dogg. This is after some jokes that have been circulating since the console was released, including comparing its brick-like design with a refrigerator.

Then, as early as April, Twitter's marketing department held a competition called Brand Bracket, which asked fans to vote for their favorite Twitter accounts related to overactive and vague self-aware marketing. The finals put Xbox against Skittles, and Greenberg promised that if Xbox wins, it will make Xbox Mini Fridge a reality. Xbox then defeated it with 50.5% of the vote, so now we come.

The mini-refrigerators are produced in cooperation with Ukonic, a production company based in Las Vegas. In addition to providing various matching products for Disney and Marvel, Ukonic also produces products for Microsoft's Minecraft and the upcoming Halo Infinite.

The retail price of the first Xbox refrigerators was $99.99. In North America, it was originally an exclusive retail in Target stores; Canadian customers can also order Xbox refrigerators through Target's website.

Xbox fans in the UK can order their refrigerator through GAME for £89.99. In France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Poland and the Netherlands, this refrigerator will be sold at GameStop EU, Micromania or Toynk through Amazon for 99.00 euros. Other interested countries may have to wait until an unspecified point in time in 2022, because Microsoft has promised to "expand regional availability" in the next few months.
