GoSun is a company that provides smart solar equipment for environmentally conscious campers, including off-grid cooking systems, portable water purification systems and portable refrigerators. Now, the company has launched the "Chillest Cooler"-a dual-zone refrigerator/freezer cooler that can serve fresh ice cream in the hot desert. The cooler can run indefinitely on the off-grid power combination with built-in solar meter and lithium battery.

If you have heard of the unsuccessful "Coolest Cooler", then "Chillest Cooler" may sound familiar, but don't confuse them; they are not the same product. In the summer of 2014, "Coolest Cooler" launched a crowdfunding campaign, and by 2019, it became one of the most disastrous events ever on Kickstarter.

Unlike the "Coolest" team, GoSun has many years of experience in successfully launching crowdfunding campaigns and actual products, ranging from wallet-sized tableware to solar ovens.

Chillest was inspired by Coolest Cooler (a veritable garbage), but it was designed by a reputable company that has more than 13 products on the market.

GoSun describes Chillest as a "no ice cooler", but it is better considered a 12V compressor refrigerator/freezer, similar to a model hardwired to an RV. This portable refrigerator/freezer includes wheels and retractable handles, allowing users to take risks away from vehicles or power outlets.

Chillest’s 100 watt-hour lithium battery provides approximately 10 hours of cooling time, making it ideal for picnics or beach days. During a multi-day camping trip, users can plug in the included multi-position 20-watt solar table, which is connected to the cooler by legs.

According to GoSun, as long as there is sunlight, the solar table can fully charge Chillest in five hours and keep it running indefinitely. The cooler can run for an additional 30 hours on the 266 watt-hour external portable power bank available to GoSun.

GoSun offers smaller single-compartment versions and 45-liter versions, which include two independent compartments and temperature zones, allowing users to freeze food on one side and refrigerate on the other. The individual temperatures can be adjusted between 68°F and -4°F (20°C and -20°C) using the built-in buttons or the accompanying mobile app.

If buyers choose to upgrade, they can also use other additional features, including a Bluetooth speaker connected to the side, an umbrella in the same slot as the solar table, and a portable power bank.

GoSun is currently carrying out Indiegogo activities to raise sufficient funds for the launch of Chillest. It offers a smaller, more basic Chillest cooler with a promised price of US$579, while the Chillest with a solar table is US$679. Both transactions are $320 lower than the planned retail price.
