Twin Falls Sheriff reminded to scrape the frost on the car windows

The Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office issues a reminder every year that for safety reasons, please completely scrape the windows of your car and make sure that you do not face a fine. We haven't passed a big frosty morning, and we are just beginning to see the coating. So get into this habit now.

I know we all did it at some point. We woke up late on a cold morning, it was 20 degrees outside, and the frost on the windows was thick. Maybe you lost your ice scraper or forgot to put it in your car after the season. Blow on the heater in your car and pray that the ice will start to melt. Then you take out a CD or a credit card or anything with edges, and make a hole just visible in the windshield. Although we have all been there, this is a big no-no. Especially for safety reasons. The cream does damage your eyesight.

If you don't completely scrape off the frost on the windows, it will not only make it harder to see what is happening around you, but you may also face fines. The Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office issued another reminder that, as they do every year, if you get caught without scraping the window, you may be fined $90.

That being said, almost every time I see someone being stopped because they are not scratched, the police often help to scratch the windows and warn them to leave. But if I were you, and I would definitely consider doing this some morning, I would not take a risk.
