After months of work, Richard finally completes the Gorilla Pro Ford F-350 build and debuts it at the legendary biker festival.

Although needing little to no introduction, the Sturgis Biker Rally is an annual gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts in Sturgis, South Dakota dating back to 1938. Initially centered around racing and stunting, the rally expanded to hillclimb and motocross racing in 1961. It would spend the next several decades transforming into the 10-day long, multi-million dollar excursion it's known as today.

So when Gorilla Pro approached long-time rider and Sturgis veteran Richard Rawlins and the Gas Monkey Garage to build the ultimate work truck for the 2022 rally, Richard leaped onto the opportunity by inking a partnership with the H.B. Fuller Company.

After spending the better part of a year tracking down the Ford F-350 Super Duty during the height of the car shortage, the previous five weeks of building it into an almost unrecognizable truck was no small feat. However, for Richard and the guys at Gas Monkey, it was like riding a bicycle again after spending nearly six months without creating a custom build.

Beginning the video with a recap of the most recent episodes, Chase and the rest of the mechanics were adding the finishing touches to the truck. From powder coating the massive chrome wheels to the finishing details like laying the vinyl wrap and field testing the Any Level suspension kit, each component receives the quintessential Gas Monkey attention to detail.

After departing for Sturgis from Dallas, we join Richard at his AirBnB where he reveals it's his first time staying in one after fear of "sleeping in another person's house." But in a brilliant tactic by the owners, Richard felt right at home after popping open the fridge to dozens of beers. He's now ready to make his way to the rally.

Arriving on the second Friday of the festival, Richard reveals today is more of a marketing opportunity for the truck. The plan is to unveil it the following day. After spending the entire afternoon taking pictures, signing autographs, and buying beers for folks, one can't help but appreciate Richard's passion for people.

So when the big day came for the Gorilla Pro Work Truck unveiling, the shaking hands and kissing babies from the previous day paid off big when a massive crowd gathered to see the work truck's debut. To add to the excitement, a stuntman also jumped a Harley Davidson over the new truck.

Receiving loads of praise from Sturgis attendees and YouTube commentators alike, Gas Monkey already has some more builds in mind to satisfy his life-long Gas Monkeys.
