1. Carroll's Corner Market on West Cherokee Avenue has permanently closed due to soaring rent costs. The South Tampa sandwich shop has been around for decades under different names and different owners. Nina Carroll says there is a chance she may return one day as a food truck or another business. 2. The city of Tampa Wastewater Department has invested in 64 portable generators to keep the city's infrastructure running in the event of a hurricane. All seven regional pumping stations now have on-site generators. (Tampa Patch)

3. The body of a man was found floating in Old Tampa Bay on Monday morning. Police responded at around 6:35 a.m. to the south side of the Courtney Campbell Causeway. An investigation is now underway. (WTSP)

4. An impending downgrade of 17 Florida property insurance companies has been delayed. Industry experts say the decision will impact hundreds of thousands of families across Florida, including many in the Tampa Bay area with many being forced to find a new insurance company at a higher rate. 5. A Tampa bakery owner has lost her life savings in a cryptocurrency investment as the FBI warns the public of crypto criminals. Lorena Brunson of Beanie and Bellies Cupcakery in South Tampa says a cryptocurrency website took nearly $100,000 before she realized it was a scam.
